This story was called in from Yerushalayim by a chashuva youngerman named Mendel Goldstein. Mrs. Goldstein was cleaning out the cabinets in the kitchen and came across a blender that had never worked properly. It seemed like it had been broken from the day they got it. She turned to her husband and said, “I think its time to throw it in the garbage. It’s just taking up space. We never used it because it never worked properly.” Mendel said, “Wait one second, let’s try one more time. But this time, we’re going to go with Hakol Yachol, emunah and bitachon. There’s no such thing as a broken blender. For Hashem, there’s no difference, it’s all the same.” And with that, he said, “Plug it in one more time. Hashem, You’re the Kol Yachol. Chaim, a handyman, was trying to open a gas pipe. He was using a wrench, but it was not going. He took a bigger wrench, but still it was not going. Whatever he tried using did not work.
