Daily Bitachon #1736

Daily Bitachon stories from the “A Life with Bitachon” hotline.  This story was called in by Mrs. Sofer. She said that her family needed to go away somewhere. They knew the directions to where they had to go. The issue and problem was that on the way back they made a wrong turn. They ended up in Hicktown with only roads and trees; they had no idea where they were! The last time their GPS ever worked was six months ago. In the past six months, whenever they needed it, they would press this and press that, but the light wouldn’t even go on! There were no movements; nothing working on the GPS. They realized that they were stuck. They didn’t even know where they were. There were no signs, no people; nothing around. Again, they tried the GPS, but it wouldn’t budge or turn on! Then they said, “One second. That’s if you go with teva, with laws of nature. But you could go with the fact that Hakadosh Baruch Hu is the Kol Yachol and He can do everything and anything!” With the family singing, “Hakol Yachol, Hakol Yachol, Hakol Yachol…” they tried pressing the button on the GPS… and this time it started working! Bitachon House

There’s a speaker in Eretz Yisroel by the name of R’ Yitzchok Rakoff. He teaches and gives over words of Emunah and Bitachon. He encourages his talmidim to learn bitachon from a sefer. One Yid took his words seriously and was mekabel on himself to learn Chovos Halevavos every night after Maariv. One night, he came home, and his wife said, “We live in a very small apartment. The family is B”H growing, we must figure something out. We can’t go on like this.” He told her not to worry and that Hashem would help. The next day, he got a phone call from his father in America. His father was getting old. He asked his son to sell his house in America for him and then take the money and buy for himself a nice house in Eretz Yisroel! His father just requested that they build for him a small room in the back of the house where he could live next to his son. That is exactly what the Yid did! He sold his father’s house in America and bought a nice house for his family for free and his father came to live with them! Read more: Bitachon #125

A Life with Bitachon lowers Blood Pressure

Mrs. Friedman* went to the doctor. He said that she has very high blood pressure. She told the doctor that she thinks its coming from anxiety. So the doctor said that she should relax in a chair, and they will redo the test again when she is feeling calm. She sat down in the chair and called the Yesod section on ‘A Life with Bitachon’ which always makes her calm. She almost fainted when she heard Rabbi Golombeck saying: “Why do people have anxiety when they go to doctors? What causes their blood pressure to go up? Because they think that high blood pressure is scary, and that it means something. But if you realize there is nothing to nature and that it’s just an illusion, then it won’t make you nervous.” After she heard this, she was totally calm. She took the test again and the results were normal! Read more: Bitachon #120

“I’m going to rely on a miracle”

“I love the Spring Hill Times every single week. I try to print it out every week and read it to my class. I drive a Nissan Rogue, which I leased about a year and a half ago. I really did not know anything about the notifications. So I did not know that it doesn’t tell you when it needs an oil change. I waited and waited and I didn’t get an oil change. A couple of weeks ago, a notification came on that I have to stop the car because there was a problem with the oil filter. I figured that was the notification for the oil change so I went that Sunday to get an oil change in Lakewood. I brought my car to the place and as I’m there in the waiting room, someone asked me, “What do you do?” I told him that I work in Brooklyn, so he said “You drive so much, you must get an oil change once a month.” I said “No, actually this is my first time after driving my car for a year and a half.” So he said “Oh, okay, that’s interesting.” The mechanic who works there, came in wearing gloves on his hands and his hands were full of what looked like soot and mud. And he screams, “Whose Nissan Rogue is this?” I said “It’s mine.” He asked, “When was the last time you did an oil change?” I said, “I never did it.” He said, “Your car will never work again. I’m telling you right now, there’s nothing we can do. I’ll put oil in, but it’s probably not going to drive out of here. If it drives even further, it’s going to stop on the highway. It’s going to break down. Your car will never work again, I’m telling you.” And then he said, “The only thing that will help this work is a miracle. It’s not going to work.” So I said “I guess I’m going to rely on a miracle.” I sat in the waiting room thinking, “Hashem can do anything.” I said to myself, I’ve always been thinking that instead of using paraffin candles on Shabbos, I should really use oil, and it’s for an oil change, so next Shabbos that I’m home we’ll use olive oil for the candles instead of paraffin. I’ll try it for one week, and B’zchus this, my car should be fine. I went to the car. The guy behind the counter said “It’s not going to work.” I said “Okay,” and drove off. It’s been so far two weeks and my car is not saying anything, no notifications. My car is driving as if it’s a brand new car.” [A Spring Hill Times Reader] Read more: Bitachon #118
