Daily Bitachon #1836

This story was called in by a very chashuva yungerman by the name of Nissan Shwekey. He said that he has a button in his car that when you press it, it displays and shows how many more miles you have to drive until you have to fill up with gas. The problem was that whenever he pressed it, it didn’t work. It was broken. He tried many times to press it. He presses it hard, he pressed it many times. He pressed it this way, that way, but to no avail. It would not show how many more miles he had left until he needed to fill up on gas. Today he was going on a long-distance trip, and he really needed to know if he should stop for gas, or did he have enough gas to reach his destination. He started pressing the button, but again, it wouldn’t show. Then he said, “One second, this is if you go with Tevah, with laws of nature, but if you go with emunah and bitachon, with the Ribono Shel Olam, it’s all possible. For Hashem, there’s no such thing as something called broken. For Him, it’s all the same. It’s Hashem that gets things working, not a button. I’m just going to leave it up to Him.” This time, he pressed the button again, and it showed him exactly how many more miles that he had before he needed to fill up with gas. It gave him all the information he needed with the best service, better than ever! Read more: Daily Bitachon #1837

Daily Bitachon #1835

This story was called in by a very, very chashuva neighbor, by the name of Rabbi Binyomin Kaplan. He came over to me to tell the most gevaldig amazing bitachon story he just experienced firsthand. He saw the power of what it means to have, every day, a seder k’vuah, to learn about emunah and bitachon, how through that he was zoche to nissim geluim and yeshuos lema’ala miderech hatevah. And he said, going back six months ago, he got a polyp in his vocal cord, and it was affecting his voice. So he went to a specialist, and he asked what to do about it. And the specialist said, “I can give you some exercises. There’s a very slight, slim chance that it can get better on its own, but probably it won’t, and therefore you’re going to need a procedure.” The specialist said, “If you want, you can come back in four months’ time. We can reevaluate the situation, and we’ll see if it gets better or on its own.” Throughout the four months, he was doing the exercises that the specialist told him to do. He came back after four months, and the specialist looks, and he says, “Not only did the polyp not get smaller, but actually it even got bigger. And now I see there’s not even a chance in the world for it to get better on its own. The only way to get rid of it is you’re going to need a procedure. Schedule an appointment, and with that, we’re going to help you out.” So he scheduled an appointment for two weeks. Throughout those two weeks, he kept up his learning every day all about emunah and bitachon. He arrived at his appointment, and the specialist looked and said, “One second, I don’t see the polyp anymore. It just simply vanished and disappeared in thin air. I’ve never seen anything like this before!” Read more: Daily Bitachon #1836

This story was called in by Mishpachav Glieberman. She has a freezer in her basement that she uses for Pesach every year. The outlet next to the freezer, for the past 17 years, never worked. It was broken. They would use an extension cord and plug it in to a different outlet. Now they were using the freezer again. She turned to her children and said, “You know, every year, for the past 17 years, we always try, thinking that maybe this year it’s going to work. But it never, ever worked. Not for 17 years. So you might be wondering why this year should be different.” And she said, “You know why this year is going to be different? Because this year we’re going to plug it in with the power of bitachon. By believing Hashem is a HaKol Yachol. And He’s the only power and there’s no other power. It’s not the plug, it’s not the outlet, it’s only Hashem. Let’s all be Mechazik and sing “HaKol Yachol.” And this time, they tried again. They put the plug into the outlet, and it started working better than ever! Read more: Daily Bitachon #1835

This story’s been called in all the way from England by a very chashuva yungerman by the name of Avishai Berkowitz. He pledged to raise a certain amount of money for a certain mosad. And he knew that a certain g’vir would be able to give a lot of money that would help him reach his goal. He was trying to reach this g’vir, but he wasn’t answering his phone. People told him, “It’s going to be very, very hard to reach him. Do you know how many people are running after him?” So he stopped and he told himself, “One second, if it’s hard for me to reach him because everybody else is doing the same thing, then I’m just gonna have emunah and bitachon that Hashem will make it that he’ll come to me instead of me having to run after him. And with that, Hashem, I’m leaving it up to You. You’re the Kol Yachol, you can do everything and anything.” Shortly afterwards, he walked out of his house, and who did he see? That exact person. And he told him he pledged to raise a certain amount of money. The g’vir said, “Sure, I’ll give you whatever you need.” And in no time, he got every last penny. This story was called in all the way from London by a very chashuva yid by the name of Chaim Markowitz. He said that his friend by the name of David Guetter said, “I have to tell you the most amazing bitachon story I just experienced firsthand. I am a grocer, and I had to go to the market to buy grapes for my grocery. The way it works is, it’s first come, first served. If you get there earlier, you can get everything 1, 2, 3, right away. If you come late, you can walk away empty-handed. I really needed to go to the market early. That day I had to still do my seder kavuah, and I first wanted to learn. But I was thinking, what should I do? If I first learn, then when I come, there would be nothing left… Then I stopped and I said, “One second, who’s the one that gives me grapes up until now? Was it me? Am I taking care of myself? It’s my loving, caring Father Hakadosh Baruch Hu, the Ribono Shel Olam Who did it by Himself. So if Hakadosh Baruch Hu is the One Who’s always giving me grapes, He’ll will forever give me grapes.” So I decided to stay for my seder kavuah. When I got to the market, I realized that in all the different places that I usually to get grapes from, there were none left. But I kept on looking. All of a sudden, I saw someone who had pallets and pallets, humongous-sized pallets, 20-pound size of grapes, which was double more than the normal. I asked him: Can I buy these grapes? He said, “Sure, of course, my greatest pleasure.” I just arrived at that moment. And 1, 2, 3, I purchased all the grapes! As I was walking away, one of my friends came over to me and said, ‘Where did you get that from? I just came here 20 minutes ago. They said there was nothing left. And here, I see you’re walking away with all these piles of grapes!’ And I said, ‘Yes, just arrived at this very second.’” In no time, he received double what he needed, with the best service, better than ever! He was really in the mood of a geshmak delicious, yummy, scrumptious smoothie. But he was thinking to himself, should I go schlep out of the office? It will take time. And he didn’t have time to waste. He thought to himself: Furthermore, you know, it’s almost Pesach, there’s so many expenses, I should spend money on fruit shakes now? This story has been called in by a very, very chashuva Rebbe by the name of Rabbi Yoni Sarf. On Friday night he realized that he needed a Shabbos goy. He walked outside, but there was no one in sight. He was thinking, “It’s late at night, what’s the chances of finding a non-Jew at this hour in my neighborhood?” But then he said, “That’s with teva, with laws of nature. I’m going to go with bitachon and emunah that Hashem’s the Kol Yachol, and within six minutes, I’m going to find a Shabbos goy.” He was looking around, and within six minutes he saw a non-Jew. He asked, “Is there any chance that you’re able to come to my house? I need a favor done.” The non-Jew said, “I’ll tell you the truth. I’m happy to do it, but I charge money for my services.” Yoni Sharf said, “OK, I don’t think right now it’s nogaya. Sorry, have a nice day.” And off went the non-Jew. Then Yoni thought, “So, now what am I going to do? This time I’m going to go with emunah and bitachon that I’ll find someone in three minutes, but this time with bitachon I want him to be nice and friendly and do it free of charge.” He said, “Hashem, you’re a Kol Yachol, You can do everything and anything.” Within three minutes, all of a sudden, he sees a non-Jew walking in his direction, a nice friendly non-Jew who asked, “How can I help you,” with the best service, for free, better than ever. This story was called in all the way from Montreal by Mrs. Grossman. She went shopping with one of her children to buy her some clothing for Yom Tov. They were looking for something specific. When they got to the store, they said, “Sorry, we’re out of it, we don’t have it in the store. We don’t even have it in the warehouse. It’s not Nogaya, we’re not getting it before Yom Tov. You’re going to have to find something else.” Mrs. Grossman and her child said, “Thank you so much,” and they left the store. Mrs. Grossman told her child, “Don’t worry. They said it’s out of stock, and they don’t have it in the store, and they don’t even have it in the warehouse. But I don’t need to get it from them. Because you know who I’m getting our clothing from? Our loving Father, the Rebono Shel Olam, Hakadosh Baruch Hu. He’s a Kol Yachol and can do everything and anything. We’re going to go again tomorrow. We’re going to look at the rack where we looked today, and we’re going to see it there.” The next day, they went to the same exact store, the same exact rack, to look for the item that they wanted, and what do they see? This story was called in from Gateshead by Mrs. Goldenberg. She said she lost a piece of jewelry many years ago. Many Pesachs went by and she still hadn’t found it. She already moved to a new house, and if she didn’t find it in the old house, what were the chances that she would find it in the new one? But then she was listening to a story on the yesod section where a very chashuva youngerman, Meir Apter’s wife was also missing a piece of jewelry for a long time. They left a message on the bitachon hotline asking what they should do if they still want to find it. Rabbi Golombeck said to picture it in their minds that they already have it, as if the jewelry came back. That’s exactly what they did, and a week later a handyman was working on the house and found it behind the furniture he was working on. The worker was a heimisha yid and they told him that the real way it was found was by picturing the yeshua. The worker man said, “Are you serious? My wife has also been missing several pieces of jewelry for a long time. Now I’ll tell her we should picture the yeshua.” That’s exactly what they did, and within a few weeks, they too found all the pieces of jewelry they were missing! So after hearing how bitachon brings bitachon and yeshua brings yeshua, Mrs. Goldenberg decided to do the same. Then all of a sudden, the piece of jewelry was found in a box, with the best service, better than ever! Read more: Daily Bitachon #1829

This story was called in by a very chashuva yid by the name of Shlomie Bornstein. He said that he needed to get a new pair of shoes. He went to the shoe store and asked the worker, “I’m a size 8 1/2 and I want the same pair of shoes I have right now, do you have that?” The worker responded, “Sorry, not a chance. We’ve been out of 8 1/2 for a long time. The best I can give you is a size 8, but we don’t have anymore 8 1/2.” So Shlomie was thinking, “One second, you think just because the worker man said there’s no 8 1/2 in stock, I can’t get the size I need? Hashem’s the Kol Yachol. He can do everything and anything. He can make the exact size I need appear out of nowhere.” With that, he told the worker man, “Listen, you go get whichever pair is the closest to my size, and I’ll go have bitachon. Hashem is the Kol Yachol and can work everything out. So you do your part and I’ll do my part.” The worker said, “Sure, if that’s what you want.” He went and grabbed a shoe box saying size 8 on it, and before Shlomie opened it up, he said, “Hashem, You’re the Kol Yachol, you can make the shoes fit perfectly.” He opened it up and put on the shoes and they fit perfectly. He looked at the shoes and saw it said size 8 1/2! He turned to the worker man and said, “See, size 8 1/2.” The worker man said, “Wait, how’s that possible? I thought we ran out of size 8 1/2. But one thing we do know is that the shoes you’re wearing are size 8 1/2!” Read more: Daily Bitachon #1828

He had to bring one of his children to a government office in order to pick up a document they needed right away. He looked for the time when the office closed and made sure that they would arrive before they were closed. While traveling on the bus, he realized after running into a lot of traffic, the clock was ticking and it was getting late and later. This made him feel like they might not make it and would not be able to pick up the documents. But then he said, “Wait a second, Who’s it up to take care of our documents? Do you think it’s the government? No, it’s our loving, caring Father in heaven, the Ribono Shel Olam Hakadosh Baruch Hu. He’s a Kol Yachol. He can work everything out.” As they got to the government office, they saw someone walking out, and this person asked them how he could help them. The father and son said that they came there to pick up an important document that they needed right away. The man responded, “Unfortunately, to get this document, you need to be coming in early in the morning. Secondly, we’re already closed. You’ll have to reschedule and come again, sorry.” As he was talking to them, R’ Younger was thinking, “Who is really in charge of whether we need to come in the morning or at the end of the day. I’m going to Hashem. He’s the Kol Yachol. He can do everything and anything.” As he was thinking that it’s all up to Hashem, the man said, “You know what? Come with me.” He took them right past security.
