Rav Golombeck planned to drop by the yeshiva where he teaches and give change for a $20 to his talmid during their lunch break. On his way to the yeshiva, Rav Golombeck davened to Hashem that instead of having to search for his talmid in the yeshiva, Hashem should arrange it the talmid would come out of the entrance and walk down the stairs to greet him when he arrives.And yes, when he arrived, his talmid was coming down the stairs.He explained “”I had a twinkling feeling to go outside and I didn’t know why.””The answer was clear, the incredible power of Tefillos! Before Succos, Mrs. Roberts* called Rabbi Zevy Golombeck telling him that her brother, who is in his 50’s was in the hospital, and that he was losing blood quickly. The transfusions to provide him with platelets were not working and the doctors were giving up hope. Mrs. Roberts wanted to know what to do. R’ Golombeck told her to internalize the understanding that it’s not blood that gives life, it’s Hashem! She reviewed the concept and lo and behold her brother’s body started taking the platelets!
