Bitachon = Salvations

This story was called in by Mrs. Lander. Mrs. Lander said that she had a little child who was a very picky eater. It was very hard to get her to eat the proper food. One night, she spent so much time, energy and effort in making a delicious, yummy, scrumptious, hearty, healthy supper. She sat down and tried to feed it to her child, but the child refused to eat. She was thinking, ‘What should I do? I really want my child to eat this supper. I worked so hard, and it is so delicious. It will give her so much koach. But I see that I have no hishtadlus to do.’ Then she said, “One second. Actually, I have the biggest and the best hishtadlus.” She started saying, “Who is in charge of emotions? Hashem. Who is in charge of her eating? Hashem.” She started being mechazek and singing, “Hakol Yachol, Hakol Yachol, Hakol Yachol…” Right afterwards, her child started eating and eating until she gobbled up every last crumb! R’ Chaim from Lakewood, NJ, was at the bank with his friend trying to deposit a check in the ATM machine. The machine did not accept it. He tried again, and this time, R’ Chaim said, “Hashem is the Kol Yachol. He could do it.” His friend, at the same time, was quietly davening to Hashem that the check should be accepted. The Jasolevsky children from Lakewood, NJ wanted to go sprinkling. Their mother tried attaching the hose to the sink, but it was not working. She tried this and tried that, but to no avail. Bitachon Story of Awning Repair

The Gold family from Lakewood, NJ, had a problem with their awning. It was stuck. Rabbi Gold said, “I know what the problem is.” He climbed up on a ladder and was trying to unscrew a screw, but it was not budging. He tried everything, but to no avail. He came down, and told his wife, “I’m going to have to have someone saw off the screw in order to re-screw it properly.” She then suggested, “Let’s sit quietly for a few minutes and be mischazek that Hashem is the Kol Yachol,” and that’s what they did. Daily Bitachon stories from the “A Life with Bitachon” hotline.  This story was called in by Mrs. Shwartz. Mrs. Shwartz said over that one of her relatives was getting married in Eretz Yisrael. She wanted to go to the chasunah together with her husband. People were telling her all different shticks how to get free tickets with credit card miles and points. She said, “Do you think I need shtick to get two free tickets back and forth to Eretz Yisrael? All I need is one thing and one thing only. Hakadosh Baruch Hu, the Ribono Shel Olam. He’s Hakol Yachol. He can do everything and anything! I’m just going to leave it up to Hashem! From where, from when, from how? I don’t have to give Hakadosh Baruch Hu eitzos how to fly me to Eretz Yisrael and back free of charge. The only thing I have to do is say to Hakadosh Baruch Hu, “I am planning to go to Eretz Yisrael, and You arrange everything else.” Later that week, the phone rang. The person said, “Mazel tov! You have just won two free tickets to Eretz Yisrael!” She said, “Are you sure it’s me and not some mistake? I don’t know what you are referring to!” They replied, “Your husband donated money to our mossad, and we put all our donors into a raffle for two tickets to Eretz Yisrael, and your husband won! The Green family had a cleaning lady, but she was not doing a good job. They decided to let her go. Mrs. Green turned to her husband and said, “What’s going to be? We need a cleaning lady.” He said, “Don’t worry, Hashem is going to get us a cleaning lady.” The next day, they got a knock on the door. It was a cleaning lady. She asked them, “Did you call me?” They said, “No, we didn’t call you.” She said, “Oh, I came to the wrong house. I’m here, do you need me?” They answered, “Yes!” She ended up having better hours. Mrs. Weber worked at a company which laid off almost all its workers. She was fired. She came home and she told her family that she was out of a job. Her child said, “Mommy, you always teach us the parnassah comes from Hashem. It’s not up to the company to fire you. Bitachon Story of Apartment Salvation

Mrs. Weitz* was looking for an empty apartment for her son and his family for Shabbos. She made many phone calls to all different people who she heard were going away for Shabbos, but none of their apartments were available. She thought to herself, “What should I do? I did so much hishtadlus, but I still didn’t find anything!” Then she thought, “I know! I’ll do the best hishtadlus, I’ll leave it up to Hashem! I am not making any other phone calls.” Later on that day, one of her neighbors called her up and said, “You know, I just decided to go away for Shabbos.
