Mrs. Rosen* was feeling down and really wanted a particular friend, who always gives her chizuk, to come and schmooze with her. It was Shabbos, and her friend normally didn’t come by on Shabbos to visit her. Mrs. Rosen didn’t have the strength to go over to her friend; she was at a loss of what to do. Then she realized, “One second. Hashem is in charge. Hashem could put in her mind that she’ll want to come to me!” A few minutes later, her daughter came running over and said, “Mommy! Mrs. Fischer* had a baby four months ago. One night her baby gave her a tough night. He was up most of the night, and she didn’t really have too much time to sleep. She works in the morning, and she usually wakes up early to make herself lunch, but she didn’t have an ounce of koach. She said, “Hashem, who is going to make me lunch today? What am I going to do?” When she went to the front door, she saw a five-course meal waiting for her outside! There was a fire in Shlomo Baker’s house, but because his family is living with bitachon, instead of getting shaken up and scared, they said in one voice, “Baruch Hashem, no one was hurt in the fire, we see Hashem is protecting us, and His protection is fire-proof!” They just felt loved, cared for, and protected by Hashem! And the phenomenal energy they felt didn’t just stop there. Jewish people came to them from all directions with so much care and concern. “We’ll make sure you have a place to stay until the house restoration is complete.” “You don’t have to worry about all the exepenses incurred from the fire; we are going to help with all of it.” And then the next day, more Jewish people came to offer support and assistance! A Talmid of Rav Zevy Golombeck, Moshe Shimonoff*, consulted him regarding whether he should continue working in a particular practice, considering there were spiritual challenges. R’ Golombeck advised him to quit cold turkey. With a bracha from Rav Golombeck that he would find a much better job, Moshe followed suite and left his practice, despite having a family to support. Later that week, Moshe reported to R’ Golombeck that he landed a new job, earning $50,000 more. Mrs. Weinberg* needed a substitute to take over her house-based kindergarten while she was moving homes. The money was tight for paying the $200 a day to the substitute, especially because she also had to simultaneously pay the moving expenses.
