Yisroel was playing basketball and he broke his foot. He wanted to get an appointment at the doctor right away to see if he had to get a cast. He called up the doctor’s office, but the receptionist said, “Sorry, nothing is available until the end of the week.” He hung up the phone and thought to himself, “Who are they saying sorry to? Do they think it’s up to them? This was called in from Ms. Herzog from England. She said whenever she calls America, she has to call with a calling card. She has one calling card and whenever she tried to use it, it wouldn’t work. She had to get through to somebody, so she said, “Let me just try this calling card again. I never worked before now, but there’s no teva.” This time when she tried it, the calling card worked! Dovid, a 10th grader in Yeshiva Bais Binyomin in Monsey, New York was hitching from shul to his house. Normally, it takes him a few minutes. This time there was only one car parked in the parking lot and he said to himself, “It does not make a difference how many cars there are. I was in school after lunch recess and my mouth became very dry, I felt extremely thirsty. I went to my briefcase to get my water bottle and I realized I left it at home. I asked the boys in my class if they had an extra unopened water bottle but no one wanted to give it to me even if I was going to give them one of my snacks to trade. I couldn’t drink from the water fountain because I always get strep when I drink from it. It was Mincha time and I went to Daven and I asked Hashem to please send me water because I was so so thirsty. I told Hashem that I know He is the Hakol Yochol and he could do anything and even send me water from the sky. An hour later, when it was time to go home, I was thinking how was I going to survive the bus ride home which is an hour long without water because I was so thirsty. While I was waiting for the bus home, I saw a friend who was being picked up by his mother. I asked him if he has a water bottle for me which he didn’t open yet and he said, “Yes, sure.” He quickly opened his briefcase and took out a brand-new bottle of freezing cold sweet yummy vitamin water and he gave it to me with a big smile. I didn’t have to give him any of my snacks! Thank You, Hashem, for sending me not just plain warm water, but for sending me cold sweet delicious vitamin water.
