He wanted to find a spot to park right in front of the store so he could take care of it one, two, three. It’s a small parking lot, and the spots are usually taken. Eruv Shabbos, a Yeshiva Bochur, was discussing with R’ Zevy Golombeck his predicament that went as follows: He made a mistake while davening for the Amud two years ago and he got embarrassed. Since then, he is petrified to return to the Amud. So, Rav Golombeck shared with him three-points to work on to gather the courage to once again share his beautiful voice with the Kehilla: 1. What are you worried about? Honor; Honor is meaningless. 2. They might look down at you? When they look down upon you, it comes from the animalistic part of them, so why would you care? 3. I think you are going to do a great job because it is Hashem who is doing everything anyway. On Motzei Shabbos, the Rav asked the bochur to daven for the Amud. Initially, he hesitated.
