Daily Bitachon #1749

Daily Bitachon stories from the “A Life with Bitachon” hotline.  This story was called in by Mrs. Applebaum. Mrs. Applebaum said over that a couple of months ago, someone gave her a post-dated check. She kept it folded up until she was able to cash the check. Finally, the day came. However, the hours of operation at the bank near to her house did not fit with her schedule. She was only able to go when the bank was closed and use the ATM machine. The issue and problem was that this ATM machine is very picky. It only takes a check if it’s straight and that check was a little crumpled after carrying it around for two months. Every time she put it into the ATM machine, the ATM wouldn’t accept it. She came back three times, putÝng it in the ATM machine, but it wasn’t working. She realized that she was going to have to work out her schedule so that she could get to the bank when it was open. As she was on the way to the bank, she got busy with something else and by the time she came, it was already closed. She was thinking, “What should I do? I really want to cash the check.” Then she said, “One second. Who is in charge of cashing the check? You think it’s the ATM machine? It’s up to Hakadosh Baruch Hu. It’s up to the Ribono Shel Olam. Let me be michazek and sing to myself, Hakol Yachol, Hakol Yachol, Hakol Yachol…” Then she said, “When you go with Emunah and Bitachon, it’s a different set of laws! It’s a different shulchan aruch!” This time, when she put the check into the ATM machine, it took the check 1, 2, 3! Read more: Daily Bitachon #1750

Bitachon Apartment

Mrs. Fried* from Eretz Yisrael was looking high and low for a new apartment. People told her that what she’s looking for was a dream and that she was never going to get it. “Just take whatever you can get.” Somebody called her up and said that they knew of an apartment that was available; she should come check it out. It had nothing that she wanted, but she said to herself, “Hishtadlus is not cause and effect. We do our part and Hashem will do His part.” They went to check it out, and on the way they saw a sign for a different apartment. They checked out all the details, and it was exactly what they were looking for! It was a dream apartment. They took it, and they saw that Hashem has many ways. You just do your part, and Hashem will do the rest!

Bitachon Story of Phenomenal Salvation

R’ Katz* was trying to get his child into a certain school. People said, “There’s a waiting list out the door. You need a lot of pull to get in. It’s not practical. Even people with pull can’t get in.” R’ Katz said, “One second. If we have no pull, then let’s use Hashem’s pull.” They applied, and the school said that they would put them on the bottom of the list but that they shouldn’t even think it’s possible because there were 100 people before them. The next day, the school called them up and said, “Okay, come for an interview.” R’ Katz asked them, “Aren’t we the last on the list?” They said, “You’re right, we made a mistake. We looked at the bottom of the list instead of the top, but once we called you, we called you.” They got in!!! Read more: Bitachon Story #320

Bitachon Vacation

One week, Mrs. Levine* wanted to take a break from Shabbos cooking and baking and setting up the table. She wanted a vacation. However, she couldn’t afford to go anywhere that cost money. She said to herself, “I wish someone would invite my entire family for all the seudos. But I don’t have any family near me, and nobody has invited me in the past Yovel!” Then she said, “One second. Who puts it in people’s minds to invite others? It’s Hashem!” That night, she got a phone call from one of her friends, who said to her, “You know, “I’m in the mood to have some company over.” I haven’t had guests in such a long time. It’s probably too late to call you; you probably already made Shabbos. But is there any way you could come?” Her friend lived close by, and they were able to walk over for all the seudos! Just like that, she got a free vacation on Hashem’s tab! Read more: Bitachon Story #319
