Bitachon Heals Arm

Seven-year-old Dovid* broke his hand right before Yom Tov. His hand was placed in a cast. He went back on Chal Hamoed to the doctor. The doctor said, “The hand is not healing right and would require surgery.” Dovid’s father asked if surgery could be pushed off a week as they wanted to go out of town for the last days. “Yes, we can push it off a week.” Dovid was crying, he didn’t want surgery. His father told him, “Hashem is the Kol Yochol and could fix it. Let us do what Rav Chaim Kanievsky zt”l recommended that one should learn the Torah related to the Machalah.” So, they learned Mesechta Yodayim. When they came back to the doctor a week later, he said, “We have to do the surgery.” Dovid’s father asked if he could push it off another week. The doctor said, “Yes, but, that’s it.” I’m scheduling the surgery for next Thursday.” Dovid’s father asked if they could have an appointment on Wednesday to check if they still need surgery? The doctor couldn’t understand why they should check on Wednesday, but gave them the Wednesday appointment. They finished mesechta Yodayim and came on Wednesday. The doctor said, “You don’t need surgery – the bones aligned themselves!” !
