“Hashem is my dentist”

Mrs. Koenig* had a dentist appointment. She doesn’t drive so she called a taxi. She was very nervous about being late, so she said to herself, “Hashem is my dentist. Hashem is the one Who will take me in, so it doesn’t make a difference when I come.”She called the dentist’s office to see how late she could come, and they told her that after ten minutes, she would have to reschedule. The clock was ticking..it was already a half-hour past when her appointment was set, but she kept telling herself, “Hashem is my dentist, and it doesn’t matter what time I come.”
She got there, and they took her in! They told her, “We don’t know why, but we just took you.” Mrs. Koenig answered, “I know the reason; it’s because Hashem is my dentist.”
