“It’s not the bus, it’s Hashem”
Rabbi Golombeck’s nephew, Shimon Stein, missed his bus to cheder one morning. He lives very far from his cheder and his parents weren’t home. He was trying to figure out how in the world he was going to get to cheder. Then he said, “One second. Who takes me to cheder every morning? It’s not the bus, it’s Hashem!” He crossed the street of his house, and a car stopped. It was a neighbor. He said, “Where do you need to go?” Shimon said, “Cheder!” The neighbor said, “Sure, hop in!”
