Bitachon Aliah

R’ Fisher* from Eretz Yisrael moved into a new neighborhood and started going to a new Shul. He wanted to daven for the amud. He was davening there for a few weeks, and they never asked him once to daven for the amud. One Shabbos he said to Hashem, “Okay, I am leaving it up to you. The gabbai is not calling me; he doesn’t notice me; I’m going with You.” That Shabbos, while they were giving aliyos, he was mechazek more and more in Bitachon. When they were giving maftir, they called him up and they said that he gets a package deal. He gets maftir and mussaf. He ended up getting an aliyah; mafitr and davening for the amud!
