Da’as Torah- The Ultimate Compass- Part 2

An Opposite Story. The Kaufmans* had a new addition to their family a few weeks ago, and she wasn’t managing; she couldn’t return to work. They called Daas Torah, and he answered, “On’es Rachmanah Pat’rey”- she shouldn’t return to work. Shortly afterward, a relative called, “Our business is thriving, we have a lot of extra Ma’ser money to give, and we would like to support a family.”- just like that, she had all the money she needed. “These sounded like two opposite stories, but they are, in fact, one story. The common denominator is when you listen to Daas Torah, you are given S’yata Dishmaya to guide you. Some people’s taf’kid is to push themselves, and some people’s taf’kid is “On’es Rachmanah pat’rey”, when one asks Daas Torah, you get the answer, and with that, you have S’yata Dishmaya.” [R’ Zevy Golombeck] Read more: “Make a Big Deal of Hashem’s Chesed!”

“Make a Big Deal of Hashem’s Chesed!”

Mrs. Ehrentreu* consulted with R’ Golombeck about her predicament. Recently, she has started getting unexpected bills; as it is, money is tight, and she is unsure what to do. R’ Golombeck advised her to start making a big deal whenever unexpected money comes in, no matter the amount, deal out of it-say “thank you, Hashem, every ounce of Your chesed is so incredible!” Lo and behold, unexpected money started flying in from everywhere. One person called, “I would like to pay you back the money I borrowed five years ago; here it is.” Another person: “I have money for you that I borrowed ten years ago.” The more she thanks Hashem, the more unexpected money comes flying in! You will only notice Hashem’s endless chesed when you start making a big deal about it. [R’ Golombeck]

Da’as Torah-The Ultimate Compass- Part 1

A Morah in a school, Mrs. Blum* had a baby. Six weeks later, when it was time for her to go to work, she was still exhausted, and she didn’t really want to go to work, but at the same time, they needed the money, and her husband wanted her to return to work. So they asked Da’as Torah, and he answered that she should go back to teaching and Hashem would work everything out. Mrs. Blum saw a pattern that when the baby was up the whole night or didn’t feel well, Hashem worked it out that there wasn’t school that day or that there was a school event, which made it so that she could come late, or not at all. This morning, Mrs. Bloom’s baby wasn’t feeling well at night, so she needed extra sleep. And then, out of the blue, she got a phone call that a new teacher was trying out at the school, and they were merging the two classes, so she should come an hour late! R’ Yechezkel Golombeck Z’tL- A Life Full of Chesed Part 1

R’ Yechezkel Golombeck Z’tL had a partnership in a suit business. Every time an Avraich would come in to buy a suit for their son, R’ Yechekel would find a reason to give him a discount, cost price, or even less. Once, an Avraich came in and told him that he was making a Bar Mitzvah and wanted to buy suits for his children. So R’ Yechezkel told him, “Oh, it’s such thing you came in today; everything is half price!” The Araich went out of the store saying, “It’s such Hashgacha that I came today!” It was Hashgacha; his brother was making him feel good without even telling him. These were stories that happened every day. He was constantly giving to Avraichim without them knowing. He saw every Avraich that came into the store to buy a suit for their son as an opportunity to make them feel good. May his Neshama have a Alyiah.
