Mrs. Gelbstein* was taking a high dose of medicine, for a medical condition. After some time, the medicine stopped working. She didn’t know what to do. The doctor didn’t really have an answer. He suggested perhaps starting her on a new medicine. She said to herself, “Is it the medicine that will make me better? It’s Hashem doing it! What difference does it make if the medicine is working? Medicine never works! It’s Hashem who makes it work!” And boom! Right afterward, she started feeling better. She felt like a brand-new person!
