Bitachon Brings Taxi

Mrs. Klein* needed a taxi to get home from her shopping trip in time for when her kids would come off the bus. The clock was ticking; it was getting later and later, and she didn’t know when the taxi would show up. She called up the bitachon hotline for chizuk. The story that day was about a yungerman who was stuck on a highway and no one was stopping for him. He said “Hashem, You’re the best taxi company so I’ll call You.” Right then, someone from the opposite direction rolled down his window and said, “I’m coming around! I’ll give you a ride!” This lady heard the story and she said, “Wow! That means Hashem can do everything and anything!” Right when she finished listening to the story, her taxi pulled up. Bitachon at the Seamstress

R’ Mordechai Martin went to the seamstress to get some clothing finished before Succos. The seamstress told him, “I’m so sorry. I am overloaded. There is no way I can get your stuff done before Yom Tov.” His natural instinct was to push her and try and get her to put him in before Yom Tov so that he’d have his clothing in time. Then he said, “No. I follow the bitachon hotline, and I did my hishtadlus, so I’ll just rely on Hashem.” He said to the seamstress, “Okay, it’s not a problem.” The seamstress was so shocked that he was so understanding of him. She said, “You’re the kind of person I want to do it for before Yom Tov. No problem, I’ll do it for you.” This is a powerful lesson in hishtadlus. People think they need to nudge and bother and pressure, but no. Hishtadlus is saying “Hashem, You don’t want me to do that. I’m leaving it up to You.” That’s the best hishtadlus. The doctor said, “Yes, but, that’s it.” I’m scheduling the surgery for next Thursday.” Dovid’s father asked if they could have an appointment on Wednesday to check if they still need surgery? Vacation Bitachon Episode

The Kohn* family from Lakewood NJ went apple picking. They really enjoyed themselves there and they decided to make the trip a little longer by stopping off at the Monmouth County airport to watch some planes take off. None of the kids had ever been on a plane before, and it was a fascinating sight for them. On the way there, Mrs. Kohn mentioned that she really wanted her children to have a tour of the inside of a plane. One of the kids suggested that they sing ‘Hakol Yachol’, the whole car burst into song. They pulled up at the airport, and before they even came out of the car, a man came over to them and asked if they would like a tour of an airplane! They couldn’t believe it! However, their excitement was short-lived. As they began entering the main building to go the plane, a woman stopped them and said they could not get a tour since her manager would not let. The pilot who had originally offered looked downright dejected. Mrs. Kohn turned to Hashem and said, “Her manager is not here, but MY Manager is. Please Hashem, help us get a tour!” It didn’t take long before they sorted things out, and the family was given a full tour of the inside of a jet, including the cockpit! Our Manager is always with us! Read more: Bitachon #252

Daily Bitachon #1746

Daily Bitachon stories from the “A Life with Bitachon” hotline.  This story was called in by a very chashuve yungerman whose name is Yehuda Genun. He told his friend how ‘A Life with Bitachon’ changed his life and how he should also get involved with the hotline. How he will experience open bracha, chased and rachamim, and experience yeshuos l’maalah miderech hateva. He said that not long after, his friend came back to him and said, “Thank you so much. I owe you so much hakaras hatov for get}ng me involved with a Life with Bitachon. I just had the most amazing, incredible story that I just experienced first hand. Thank you for get}ng me involved in what it means to live a life with Emunah and Bitachon.” Yehuda said that this friend learns in kollel, and he got a very big bill. He was trying to figure out how in the world he was going to come up with that amount of money to pay the bill. He was thinking, “Maybe I should take a side job and earn that money to pay it? But one second, I don’t want to leave kollel. I want to learn full time! But what should I do? I have a dilemma. I have to pay the bill; is the money going to fly in from the sky?!” Then he said, “One second. If I believe in “Hashleich al Hashem yihavicha,” I can throw my burden and packages onto Hashem, I’m going to give Hakadosh Baruch Hu the bill; Hashem is Hakol Yachol; He has so many ways to pay off my bill!” With that, he said that he is not going to take the side job. It is going to shter his learning. Therefore, he is leaving it up to Hashem to pay his bill in other ways. Later on that day, he got a phone call from a Rav in the city. The Rav asked him, “I have a businessman who just came over to me. He said that he is looking to hire someone to learn with him b’chavrusa. Do you have any extra time to learn with him?” He said, “Sure, of course! It will be my greatest pleasure.” He said he started learning with the businessman. The businessman told him that the reason he is hiring him is because that day he had been listening to a shiur from his Rebbe, and his Rebbe said over that the biggest zechus a person can do to help himself, is hire someone to learn with him! Because of that, he hired the yungerman! The amount of money that the businessman paid him, was the same exact amount of money as much he would have gotten for the side job he was going to take! In no time, his bill got paid up one, two, three! Read more: Daily Bitachon #1747
