Stress Disappears with Bitachon

A Talmid came to visit me and he said that he has been following the “A Life of Bitachon” hotline for three years, and it changed his life! Recently, he was going with his family to the airport. When they arrived they were told that they came too late and they couldn’t go on the plane. Previously, he would’ve been frustrated, upset and stressed, but because he listens to ‘A Life with Bitachon’ hotline, everything “goes his way”, because whatever Hashem does is called “his way!” [R’ Zevy Golombeck] Read more: Bitachon #206

But it was for Yom Tov, so he happily paid for the shopping. When he got home, his wife said, “Oh, I forgot one thing on the list: the water.” Zev thought, “Oh, I have to go back again? Gam Zu L’Tova. This is what Hashem wants from me.” When he went back to the store for the water, he met a Yid, and the Yid said, “Oh, this reminds me, I wanted to give you a check before Yom Tov.” The Yid gave him a check for all the things that he needed for Yom Tov! Avi Weissfeld* went to an Avos U’banim learning program on Chol Hamoed Pesach. Each child received a kite. He was very excited because he loved to fly kites. His cousins came to visit, and they said, “We also like to fly kites,” so he lent it to them. Somehow, in their enthusiasm, the cousins broke the kite. Avi really wanted a kite, but his family said, “We’re going on a trip now, so if you want a new kite, you have to ask Hashem for a new kite.” On the trip, they saw a family flying kites. The family said, “We have so many extra, because we thought a lot of other people were coming who didn’t end up coming. Would you like an extra kite?” Not only did Avi get one, he actually got a few kites! Read more: Bitachon #203

Habote’ach BaHashem, Chessed Yesovevenu

R’ Meshulem lent someone a few thousand Shekel. The person was supposed to pay him back in a week or two. The week or two went by, but he didn’t hear from him. R’ Meshulem tried reaching out to the person but he kept pushing him off. Before he knew it, it was already three months later. All his bills came in at once: his water bill, his electric bill, his Arnona (property tax) bill. He didn’t have enough money to pay them. He knew that if that person would pay him back, he would have the money for it. He didn’t know what to do; he had tried so many times… Then he realized, “One second, who’s going to pay this bill for me, is it me? It’s the Ribono Shel Olam! Instead of relying on people, I have to rely on the Ribono Shel Olam. If the Ribono Shel Olam wants, He could pay the bill right now.” A few hours went by, and the person called him and said, “Baruch Hashem, I worked it out and I’m coming right now to you to give you the entire sum.” He saw the tremendous power of “Habote’ach BaHashem, Chessed Yesovevenu.”
