‘A Life With Bitachon’

Listen to the Powerful, Daily-Updated Shiurim and Stories that have inspired tens of thousands by Rabbi Golombeck on ‘A Life with Bitachon’, also known as ‘The Bitachon Hotline’.Lakewood 732-719-3898Five Boroughs 929-470-5577Monsey 845-470-5577Eretz Yisrael 079-704-0068England 03-303-502-368Australia (3) 99-997-300Canada 647-498-7700 See more about the Bitachon Hotline on TorahAnyTime.com from R’ Maimon Elbaz.   What is the definition of Bitachon? Bitachon (hebrew- ביטחון) is the realization of the infinite love that Hashem has towards us and that He is constantly taking care of us.  Bitachon is a state of feeling watched, cared for, and protected in Hashem’s anthropomorphic Hand’s. To “have bitachon” means to internalize the fact that Hashem, as the All-Powerful and beyond the laws of nature, can improve any situation; and further, if the situation is not improved in the way one expected, to know that Hashem in His Utmost Mercy knows ultimately what is best for a person.    How does one achieve the level of a “Bal Bitachon”?  In order to gain the virtues  title of “Bal Bitachon” one doesn’t actually to have the highest level of bitachon. All one had to do is the act of trying to become a Bal Bitachon to reach the level of a Bal Bitachon. Just doing your daily exercises in building your bitachon gains you the title “Bal Bitachon”! “Really! How does that work; that by just trying, gains you such a prestigious title?” Yes, it says in the Zohar “rachmah liba ba’i” which means that Hashem wants a person’s heart. The desire to come to close Hashem and do His will is the most important component of serving Hashem.  And therefore whether you achieve bitachon or not, gains you the title.    “So now that we know that doing one’s daily exercises in building bitachon gains you the title “Bal Bitachon”! What are the daily exercises that one can do in order to build their bitachon?” Number one. Make a Bracha and eat Hashem’s delicious food and fruits which will awaken your feelings of being loved by Hashem. As you taste and smell and feel the texture in mouth, contemplate how Hashem could have given our nutrients through the means of taking taste-less pills and instead He gave us a plethora yummy different foods so that we can enjoy His world of endless giving and chesed. When you eat fruits, think of it as Hashem’s candy. Number two. Utilize every enjoyable experience to feel loved by Hashem. You can elevate and give meaning to any enjoyable experience by connecting it to Hashem chesed.   Number three. Speak about Bitachon and Hashgacha Pratis.  When one recounts the experiences where one felt Hashem’s love, it will awaken one’s Bitachon and feeling of tranquility. Number four. Read books and Weekly’s on Bitachon . Classics include the Shaar HaBitachon of Chovos Halevavos and Emunah U’Bitachon by the Chazon Ish. A very popular weekly is the Bitachon Weekly. Number five. Listen to to daily chizuk in bitachon. The bitachon hotline , Daily Bitachon by Rabbi David Sutton and the Daily Bitachon with Michael Safdie are all great ways to recharge. Number six. Take take time to think about the miracles that Hashem has done like yeztias mitzraim and the story of purim.

Daily Bitachon #1829

This story was called in all the way from Montreal by Mrs. Grossman. She went shopping with one of her children to buy her some clothing for Yom Tov. They were looking for something specific. When they got to the store, they said, “Sorry, we’re out of it, we don’t have it in the store. We don’t even have it in the warehouse. It’s not Nogaya, we’re not getting it before Yom Tov. You’re going to have to find something else.” Mrs. Grossman and her child said, “Thank you so much,” and they left the store. Mrs. Grossman told her child, “Don’t worry. They said it’s out of stock, and they don’t have it in the store, and they don’t even have it in the warehouse. But I don’t need to get it from them. Because you know who I’m getting our clothing from? Our loving Father, the Rebono Shel Olam, Hakadosh Baruch Hu. He’s a Kol Yachol and can do everything and anything. We’re going to go again tomorrow. We’re going to look at the rack where we looked today, and we’re going to see it there.” The next day, they went to the same exact store, the same exact rack, to look for the item that they wanted, and what do they see? Lo and behold, sitting there on the rack was exactly the article of clothing that they wanted, with the best service, better than ever! Read More: Daily Bitachon #1830
