Bitachon Brings Shalom: Divine Intervention in Daily Challenges

Bitachon Cleans Shabbos Tablecloth

Rabbi Yehuda Mandel got a nosebleed, and it dripped on his white Shabbos tablecloth. He attempted to wipe off the stain with a damp towel, but it wouldn’t budge, which he knew would certainly disappoint his wife. So he said, “You think It’s a towel that cleans anything? Or the water that cleans it? It’s Hashem!” He tried again, and it just went out! It disappeared! He showed it to Rabbi Golombeck, and he said: “Look, where’s the nosebleed? I can’t see it! There’s no mark, no zecher!”     Read more: Bitachon #50

“Hashem’s Many Messengers!”

Mrs. Gross* went shopping. She came home with many packages, and she wasn’t sure what to do. She lives on a very high floor of an apartment building, and she doesn’t have an elevator. She looked around, but there was no one to help her. She thought, “What should I do now?” She said, “Okay. Hashem, there is no one here to help me, but You are always here to help me.  I have no koach. I have no strength. I’m worn out.” Then she looked up, and one of her neighbors was there. The neighbor said to her, “You know? You’re carrying so many packages. Can you do me a favor and let me carry them for you?” Just like that, she took all her packages and carried them up! Klal Yisrael is amazing! [R’ Zevy Golombeck]   Read more: Vacation on Hashem’s Tab!

Is there Hashgacha Pratis during the 3 weeks?

Of course there is Hashgacha Pratis during the 3 weeks! There is something very interesting that we find in hilchos Tisha B’av. We sit on the floor, recite kinnos, don’t even greet each other yet surprisingly we omit tachanun; just like we find by the other moadim. Why is this so? The verse in Eichah (1:16) tells us, ‘מועד עלי ‘קרא. From here we see that Tisha Be’av is considered to be a moed and therefore just like with the other moadim we don’t say tachanun We can understand why in the future Tisha B’av will be a moed, but why even now does it already have the status of a moed? The Chasam Sofer explains that since our mourning is coming from hope, therefore, the Bais Hamikdash is still considered alive and it has the status of a moed! And a moed is a time when we come close and we connect with Hashem!

Amazing Hashgacha Pratis!

Mrs. Fischer* had a baby four months ago. One night her baby gave her a tough night. He was up most of the night, and she didn’t really have too much time to sleep. She works in the morning, and she usually wakes up early to make herself lunch, but she didn’t have an ounce of koach. She said, “Hashem, who is going to make me lunch today? What am I going to do?” When she went to the front door, she saw a five-course meal waiting for her outside! She was thinking, “Where could this have come from?”She noticed a note attached saying that her shul had a program that provides meals for kimpeturin mothers. They were giving it to her now, and she never actually received it when her baby was born. They gave her the lunch package four months late, exactly the day she needed it! Amazing Hashgacha Pratis![R’ Zevy Golombeck]   Read more: Thank You Hashem!

Hashem Protection is Fire-Proof

“Hashem Protection is Fire-Proof!”

There was a fire in Shlomo Baker’s house, but because his family is living with bitachon, instead of getting shaken up and scared, they said in one voice, “Baruch Hashem, no one was hurt in the fire, we see Hashem is protecting us, and His protection is fire-proof!” They just felt loved, cared for, and protected by Hashem! And the phenomenal energy they felt didn’t just stop there. Jewish people came to them from all directions with so much care and concern. “We’ll make sure you have a place to stay until the house restoration is complete.” “You don’t have to worry about all the exepenses incurred from the fire; we are going to help with all of it.” And then the next day, more Jewish people came to offer support and assistance! Klal Yisrael doesn’t know how to stop giving! [heard by R’ Zevy Golombeck]
