Daily Bitachon #1736

Daily Bitachon stories from the “A Life with Bitachon” hotline.  This story was called in by Mrs. Sofer. She said that her family needed to go away somewhere. They knew the directions to where they had to go. The issue and problem was that on the way back they made a wrong turn. They ended up in Hicktown with only roads and trees; they had no idea where they were! The last time their GPS ever worked was six months ago. In the past six months, whenever they needed it, they would press this and press that, but the light wouldn’t even go on! There were no movements; nothing working on the GPS. They realized that they were stuck. They didn’t even know where they were. There were no signs, no people; nothing around. Again, they tried the GPS, but it wouldn’t budge or turn on! Then they said, “One second. That’s if you go with teva, with laws of nature. But you could go with the fact that Hakadosh Baruch Hu is the Kol Yachol and He can do everything and anything!” With the family singing, “Hakol Yachol, Hakol Yachol, Hakol Yachol…” they tried pressing the button on the GPS… and this time it started working! The couple knew that they had paid $4000 in advance. But since they follow ‘A Life with Bitachon‘, they knew that Hashem doesn’t like Machlokes. They knew that if they give the money, Hashem will pay them back. So they did not make an issue about it, and they paid the money again. The next day, one of their relatives called and said that they had a lot of Ma’aser money that they are looking to give to someone in need. The relative then gave them exactly $4000!! Bitachon Story of Peace and Salvation

A Yid in England owns a factory that produces candles. One day, he received an order from a store for 8,000 candles. It took him two weeks to produce that amount of candles. When he was done, he loaded it into the back of his truck and went to deliver it. When he arrived at the store, which was four hours away, the owner apologized and explained that he was in the middle of a financial crisis and couldn’t afford them, so he would have to cancel the order. The Yid said, “Okay” and left, instead of making a fight. He left a broken man – what would he do with the candles? On the way home, he stopped off at a park and pulled out the Chovas Halevavos he likes to have handy, and went through the whole Sha’ar HaBitachon. A non-Jew then came over to him and asked him what brought him there. He explained that he produces candles and that he was traveling with an order. The man was amazed and told him that he owns a store and needed 8,000 candles! He was willing to pay him a certain price if it would be ready in a few weeks time. The Yid asked him how much he would be willing to pay if he had them for him today. The man named a price which was even higher. He said, “No problem, please come to my van. I have it here with me.” He gave the man the candles, and got paid on the spot. Done deal. (Kav Hashgacha Pratis) Read more: Bitachon #113

The Mitzvah of Bitachon Works!

I’m at work now and was just reading through the Spring Hill Times. One of the staff members needed assistance with the elevator in the building so I went down to help her. Usually, it’s the flick of the elevator switch and ensuring that the key is in place that makes the elevator operate. Both the key and the switch were set correctly – there was no reason why it wasn’t working. I tried flipping the switch and re-inserting the key – but no luck. Tried again and still nothing. I stopped and said – Bitachon means that Hashem is in charge and Hashem is the ONLY force of power. It’s not the key. It’s not the switch. I said this again as I flipped the switch and turned the key – and the elevator came to life!! Thank you, Hashem for the gift of seeing how the Mitzvah of Bitachon works! I read these stories all the time – but it’s an entirely different feeling when you experience it yourself – try it!! (Reader of The Spring Hill Times) Read more: Bitachon #105
