I’m at work now and was just reading through the Spring Hill Times. One of the staff members needed assistance with the elevator in the building so I went down to help her. Usually, it’s the flick of the elevator switch and ensuring that the key is in place that makes the elevator operate. Both the key and the switch were set correctly – there was no reason why it wasn’t working. I tried flipping the switch and re-inserting the key – but no luck. Tried again and still nothing. I stopped and said – Bitachon means that Hashem is in charge and Hashem is the ONLY force of power. It’s not the key. It’s not the switch. I said this again as I flipped the switch and turned the key – and the elevator came to life!! Thank you, Hashem for the gift of seeing how the Mitzvah of Bitachon works! I read these stories all the time – but it’s an entirely different feeling when you experience it yourself – try it!! (Reader of The Spring Hill Times)
