Bitachon Powered Elevator

Dovid, a thirteen-year-old boy from Eretz Yisroel, left his house one morning to go to shul. He tried using the elevator, but it was broken. He therefore went down the steps and walked to shul. After davening, it came time to go back home. He thought to himself, “It will be hard for me to walk up seven flights of stairs without an elevator.” So, he turned to Hashem and asked Him to please make the elevator work. The entire time he was walking home, he had bitachon that Hashem would make it work. When he got to the building, he pushed the button, and the elevator worked. It brought him up to his house. He told his mother the story. So, she went out to check the elevator, but it was not working! For the rest of the day, it was broken. It only worked for him when he had bitachon!
