Is there Hashgacha Pratis during the 3 weeks?

Of course there is Hashgacha Pratis during the 3 weeks! There is something very interesting that we find in hilchos Tisha B’av. We sit on the floor, recite kinnos, don’t even greet each other yet surprisingly we omit tachanun; just like we find by the other moadim. Why is this so? The verse in Eichah (1:16) tells us, ‘מועד עלי ‘קרא. From here we see that Tisha Be’av is considered to be a moed and therefore just like with the other moadim we don’t say tachanun We can understand why in the future Tisha B’av will be a moed, but why even now does it already have the status of a moed? The Chasam Sofer explains that since our mourning is coming from hope, therefore, the Bais Hamikdash is still considered alive and it has the status of a moed! And a moed is a time when we come close and we connect with Hashem!

Bitachon Opens Bike Lock

R’ Chaim Gross* just bought a new bike lock. He set up a combination number and he locked the bike. Later on, when he was trying to open it, he realized that he had forgotten the combination that he had just set, and he didn’t know what to do. He was fiddling and playing with it, but it wasn’t opening. R’ Chaim’s wife made a suggestion: “I will sing Hakol Yachol.” He tried a code, but it still didn’t work.  So his wife said, “Oh, I probably need more Bitachon!”  She started singing again ‘Hakol Yachol,’ and halfway through, the bike lock opened up!! Hashem is the Best Party Planner!

Rav Golombeck had the most amazing encounter with a very chushuv Yid, Shmuel, who works as an electrician, and he goes around fixing electricity in people’s houses. He told Rav Golombeck that three years ago he went to fix the electricity by a yungerman by the name of Efraim Rosen. While he was at his house, Efraim had ‘A Life with Bitachon’ playing on speakerphone. Shmuel was blown away by the Emunah and Bitachon! He asked for the number of ‘A Life with Bitachon’, and they ended up schmoozing for over one hour! He didn’t wind up going to anybody else that day. He was just so amazed by Emunah and Bitachon. He said that ever since that day three years ago, he has been following ‘A Life with Bitachon’ every day, and it has changed his entire life. He told Rav Golombeck, “Right now, I’m making a Simcha.” (It was his child’s aufruf.) “Instead of caring all the time what type of impression I’m making, being scared of this person from that person, trying to please and impress everybody. I say that I am here just to impress and please Hashem. It’s so easy to please and impress Hashem. Everything is from Hashem, and everything is perfect! Hashem is running the simcha and Hashem is making the simcha!” He said he was able to be so calm and relaxed with a smile! He never believed he could make a simcha so stress and worry-free! Just like having a party planner, he saw how Hashem was taking care of everything with hashgacha pratis from start to finish and everything in between! Parnassah is from Hashem!

R’ Dovid Weinstein’s* grandparents were brought up with the hashkafa that in order to be successful in life, one needs to go to college. You need money in order to support your family. College, college, college.  R’ Dovid was brought up with everything is: Torah, Torah, Torah, Emunah and Bitachon, and that Hashem takes care of us.  When he was getting married, they asked him, “Nu? Does she have a good job? Does she have a degree? Does she have anything?” He said, “No, no, no.” They said, “Who’s going to support and take care of you.” He said, “I have an idea.”  They answered, “Well, how do you know she’s going to be successful?” His response was, “I don’t know, I didn’t think about these things; I leave it up to Hashem.” R’ David’s wife has a friend who had built a very successful business but was finding the workload too much to handle, so she decided she was going to give away the company. She said to R’ Dovid’s wife, “I’m offering it to you first.” And just like that, his wife took over the company. Usually, it takes years to build up a business, but she got it all in one second!  [R’ Zevy Golombeck] Read more: Amazing Hashgacha Pratis!

One Nation!

Eitan* lives in America. He works in the emergency room in a hospital. Because of the war, he wanted to go to Eretz Yisrael to help out. He wanted to work in the hospital there in case anyone came in wounded and needed his help. When he arrived in Eretz Yisrael, he saw many other American volunteers. They said, “Baruch HaShem, there are not too many casualties; we don’t need more doctors!” Despite being at war, they were able to make do with their regular staff without any extra help. He just went back home. Some of the other doctors he knew were sent to work on the farms due to the shortage of farmers caused by the war. Doctors became farmers! Klal Yisrael is just amazing!
