Daily Bitachon stories from the “A Life with Bitachon” hotline.
This story was called in by a very chashuv Yid by the name of Asher Dov Leiberman. In his neighborhood, garbage day pickup is Tuesday. Every Tuesday without fail he makes sure to bring out the garbage. Last Tuesday, he forgot. Tuesday came and went, and he didn’t bring out the garbage. Now the garbage was piling up and it was Wednesday already. He was trying to figure out what he should do. The garbage men don’t come to his neighborhood on Wednesday, only to other neighborhoods. Then he stopped and said to himself, ‘One second. Who’s in charge that my day is Tuesday and the other neighborhood is Wednesday? You think it’s up to the garbage men? It’s up to Hakadosh Baruch Hu, the Ribono Shel Olam! He’s Hakol Yachol! He can do everything and anything! I’m going to put my garbage out on Wednesday and say: “Hashem! You’re the Kol Yachol! You can do everything and anything! You can make it that the garbage men will come pick up the garbage even though it’s not Tuesday.” He put out the garbage. When he came back a little later, it wasn’t there! The garbage men took it!
