Daily Bitachon #1759

Daily Bitachon stories from the “A Life with Bitachon” hotline.

This story was called in by Mrs. Lander. Mrs. Lander said that she had a little child who was a very picky eater. It was very hard to get her to eat the proper food. One night, she spent so much time, energy and effort in making a delicious, yummy, scrumptious, hearty, healthy supper. She sat down and tried to feed it to her child, but the child refused to eat. She was thinking, ‘What should I do? I really want my child to eat this supper. I worked so hard, and it is so delicious. It will give her so much koach. But I see that I have no hishtadlus to do.’ Then she said, “One second. Actually, I have the biggest and the best hishtadlus.” She started saying, “Who is in charge of emotions? Hashem. Who is in charge of her eating? Hashem.” She started being mechazek and singing, “Hakol Yachol, Hakol Yachol, Hakol Yachol…” Right afterwards, her child started eating and eating until she gobbled up every last crumb! Her child was smiling and said, “Yummy!” In no time, she ate up the whole plate, better than ever!
