This story was called in by a very chashuva yungerman by the name of Nissan Shwekey. He said that he has a button in his car that when you press it, it displays and shows how many more miles you have to drive until you have to fill up with gas. The problem was that whenever he pressed it, it didn’t work. It was broken. He tried many times to press it. He presses it hard, he pressed it many times. He pressed it this way, that way, but to no avail. It would not show how many more miles he had left until he needed to fill up on gas. Today he was going on a long-distance trip, and he really needed to know if he should stop for gas, or did he have enough gas to reach his destination. He started pressing the button, but again, it wouldn’t show. Then he said, “One second, this is if you go with Tevah, with laws of nature, but if you go with emunah and bitachon, with the Ribono Shel Olam, it’s all possible. For Hashem, there’s no such thing as something called broken. For Him, it’s all the same. It’s Hashem that gets things working, not a button. I’m just going to leave it up to Him.” This time, he pressed the button again, and it showed him exactly how many more miles that he had before he needed to fill up with gas. It gave him all the information he needed with the best service, better than ever!
