Rabbi Golombeck went to the va’ad of his Rebbe, Rabbi Yehuda Mandel. It was raining, so he wanted to drive. However, his wife needed the van, so she dropped him off. He didn’t know how he would get home. Right when the va’ad ended, he saw a Yid walking towards him. Rabbi Golombeck asked, “Why are you coming now? The va’ad is already over!” He said, “I came to ask if you needed a ride! I want to ask you for a favor, so I wanted to do you a favor. I’ll bring you wherever you need to go!”
