Yehoshua, a yungerman from Beit Shemesh, came home one night at 9:30 p.m. He parked his car and went into his house.
At 11:00 p.m. he received a phone call from the police at a checkpoint near Be’er Sheva, that his car was stolen and he should come pick it up.
What happened was that right after he parked his car, a non-Jewish thief came and made a small hole in the back window, stuck his hand inside and opened the door. He then broke the place where the key for the ignition goes in, put in some wires and drove off.
As the thief drove down the highway, Sruli,* who makes alarms for cars, passed by this car and noticed that the back window was broken.
He knew that it’s a trick that many use to steal cars, so he followed the car until the checkpoint.
The thief noticed that he was being followed, so he jumped out and left the car there!
Thank You Hashem for making sure that Sruli passes by the car at just the right time! Thank You Hashem that yehoshua had no agmas nefesh! He only found out that his car was stolen after it was found! [Kav Hashgacha Pratis]
