Siddur Saves the Day

Mrs. Klahr* lives in Yerushalayim. One day, she left her 4th floor apartment to go to an appointment. Just as she was about to go into the elevator she realized that she left her siddur in her apartment. So she went back to get the siddur.
A few seconds later, she was back at the elevator. As she was just about to go in, she heard a noise and the electricity in the building went off.
She was so thankful to Hashem that she forgot her siddur the first time… Otherwise, she would have been in the elevator when the electricity went out and would have been stuck in the hot elevator until the electricity went back on! [Heard from Mrs. Klahr’s mother]
