I am not making any other phone calls.” Later on that day, one of her neighbors called her up and said, “You know, I just decided to go away for Shabbos. Mrs. Friedman from Eretz Yisroel needed to do something in a graphics store for an upcoming meeting. The machine was not working properly and was not cutting the papers. There would be no way for her to cut the papers on her own. They kept on trying, but the machine was not working. It was broken. She started being meschazeik in bitachon and she said, “Hashem is the Kol Yachol, and He can make it work.” She told the worker, “I’m being meschazeik that Hashem’s the Kol Yachol and bezras Hashem you will see that it’s going to start working.” The worker called her boss, and the boss did the exact thing that the worker had done, and the machine worked. The worker told the boss, “Do you know what just happened? I did everything exactly as you did and it was not working. Chani, a seminary girl, does alterations for people. It was Erev Shabbos and the sewing machine stopped working. She did not know what to do. She called her mother. Her mother said, “Call the ‘A Life with Bitachon’ hotline and be meschazeik in bitachon.” She called the “A Life with Bitachon” hotline and heard a story of someone who had an oven that wasn’t working and was meschazeik herself in bitachon, and the oven started working. Her son became a chosson, Baruch HaShem, but they told her that the fund was depleted and there was no money. She said, “Well guess what? It’s fine, because we weren’t relying on you, we’re relying on Hashem and Hashem will come through.” A week before the chasunah, someone came over to them and gave them coupons to all the stores that a chosson needs to go to.
