When Mrs. Gold* would drive to work, she would get stuck at a certain traffic light. Whenever she got there, it was red for a few minutes. Then she heard a Yesod on the Bitachon Hotline. Someone who whenever he got to a traffic light instead of thinking that it’s natural for it to turn green, he would say, “I need Hashem to make it turn green.” Someone else who was listening to him started laughing, “What do you mean, you need Hashem to turn it to green? It goes by itself.” The next day, that person was by a light and after it turned green, he was stuck behind a truck for a couple minutes, he couldn’t go! The traffic light was going from green to red. Back to green and then red and he couldn’t go! He saw clearly that yes we need Hashem for everything. So this Mrs. Gold said, “Oh, I don’t have to wait for a few minutes. It’s up to Hashem.” Since then, whenever she goes to the traffic light, she says, “It’s not the traffic light, it’s Hashem.” For a long time, she used to wait for three minutes by the light. But now she never waits for more than ten seconds!!!
