In a long awaited, earth shattering proclamation by the President of The United States, Donald J. Trump from the White House; the president has declared that this week, Parshas Bamidbar, there is to be a Shabbos of Unity for the United States of America. This anticipated declaration comes after many years of Trump’s forged connection with the Jewish People, starting from his childhood and it’s continued blossoming when his daughter Ivanka, joined the Jewish faith with her orthodox conversion to Judaism, and marriage to Jared Kushner. Trump’s recognition of Divine Providence was made apparent when he publicly thanked G-d for saving his life, after his close encounter with death, when he was shot point blank, and dodged a bullet by a hair’s breadth.
The Official proclamation from the White House states that” Jewish Americans are encouraged to observe a national Sabbath. From sundown on May 15 to nightfall on May 16, friends, families, and communities of all backgrounds may come together in gratitude for our great Nation. This day will recognize the sacred Jewish tradition of setting aside time for rest, reflection, and gratitude to the Almighty.”
There is an anticipation for Shabbaton’s to be held by Jewish communities throughout America, in honor of National Shabbos Week.
