Hashem’s Loyal Nation

Mrs. Newhouse* from England takes a particular course that’s given by a non-Jew. One year, this instructor said to her, “You know, I just checked the weather forecast for your holiday, Purim, and it’s going to be snowing and raining. I guess you have to cancel your Purim plans or push it off. What day are you pushing it off to?”

She said, “No, no. We don’t push things off. We do it in the snow, we do it in the rain, we do it in the heat, we do it no matter what.”

The instructor said, “Wow, that’s not the way we work. By us, we only do things if it’s convenient. You Jews are loyal; you have such devotion.”

What a Kiddush Hashem!
