Hashem Catches Child

R’ Kahn* travels a lot, sometimes for seven hours straight, without getting out of the car! He said that what keeps him going mentally, emotionally, and physically with all the traveling is turning on Bitachon Hotline songs, and the words and niggunim go into his bones. They change him into a different metzius! Besides for making him upbeat and happy, he sees so much siyata d’shmaya and so much more bracha in his life. He gave an example. He said that he has two floors in his house. His 5-year-old kid was playing ball on the top of the stairs, and he tripped. He fell all the way down both flights of stairs, and the bottom is tiled. R’ Kahn “happened” to be standing right there, and his son fell headfirst into his lap! He caught him before he hit the floor! He took it as a lesson that Hashem is always there to catch us!   Read more: Flooded with Hashem’s Chessed

She said, “Hashem, I’m just throwing it up to you. I can’t deal with it. I’m just leaving it up to You.” Out of the blue, a cleaning lady called her up and asked her if she needed any help cleaning! Then, someone else called up and asked her if she needed any help, and she came over to help with the cooking! Just like that, she got a cleaning lady and someone to help with the cooking. The kids were acting like malachim! She said that all three things just worked out like a glove. When you don’t take life into your own hands, and you leave it up to Hashem, Hashem says, “You’ll get the best party planner ever!” Read more: Bitachon #63

The Power of Positive Lying

Mrs. Leiberman’s* daughter called her up frantically to tell her that she had just lost something extremely important. Mrs. Lieberman told her, “You know, it was already found.” Her daughter said, “Are you serious? How do you know where it is?” Mrs. Lieberman answered her, “I don’t know. I know it’s where it will be found.” Her daughter said, “What is this, a joke?” She said, “No, this is how a Life with Bitachon told me to talk. I’m supposed to only speak positive lies, and that’s called having Bitachon; just say, of course, you already found it.” Her daughter said, “Mommy, you want me to lie? I can’t do that. I can’t lie. I’m too upset. I don’t know where it is.” Her mother said, “It’s okay. No problem. I’ll lie for you; it’s already found.” A couple of hours later, her daughter called her up. “I found it!” she said. “Now I see what you were telling me, and I see that in the future, I should do exactly what you did Read more: Bitachon #61

Flooded with Hashem’s Chessed

Rabbi Golombeck had a flood in his basement, and Baruch Hashem he saw so much Chesed and Hashgacha Pratis in how Hashem orchestrated every detail! His tenants had to move out due to the flood, but there was a young family in the same complex who had a baby a couple days earlier, so their basement was empty. Rabbi Golombeck’s tenants were able to stay right across the street for the first week! Second, Rabbi Golombeck was planning on redoing the whole basement to make sure there wouldn’t be any mold, and the insurance company was willing to give enough money to cover all the damages! Otherwise, they would have had to pay thousands of dollars! Thirdly, the Golombecks had to find a new place for their tenants as it would take a month to fix up the damage. Fortunately, they found a Chosson/Kallah apartment available for rent down the block, completely furnished, and they said they could use it for as long as they wanted! Hashem took care of everything! Fill Your Bank with Chessed!

Rabbi Golombeck was in Santander Bank waiting in line, and there was a Heimeshe Yid behind him. Rabbi Golombeck told him, “I know time is precious to every Yid, but you should just know that I’m going to be very quick. I am making one transaction, and I’ll be out before you know it.” The other yid said to Rabbi Golombeck, “You know what? I appreciate you telling me that so much. I’ll tell you why. You show that you care about me and you care about my time. You realize that we’re waiting in line. Some people could take a long time, they can make five transactions, and it could take 10 minutes. Now I’m calmer because I know it’s going to be just a couple of minutes. You gave me more menuchas hanefesh. You didn’t have to tell me this, but you made me feel so good.” You see how important it is to think of ways to make people happier and more than that, because he said thank you so much,  it made Rabbi Golombeck feel so good that he did something good! He didn’t know how he would get home. Right when the va’ad ended, he saw a Yid walking towards him. Rabbi Golombeck asked, “Why are you coming now? The va’ad is already over!” He said, “I came to ask if you needed a ride! I want to ask you for a favor, so I wanted to do you a favor. “I know! I’ll do the best hishtadlus,  I’ll leave it up to Hashem!”

Mrs. Weitz* was looking for an empty apartment for her son and his family for Shabbos. She made many phone calls to all different people that she heard were going away for Shabbos, but none of the apartments were available. She thought to herself, “What should I do? I did so much hishtadlus, but I still didn’t find anything!” Then she thought, “I know! I’ll do the best hishtadlus,  I’ll leave it up to Hashem! I am not making any other phone calls.” Later on that day, one of her neighbors called her up and said, “You know, I just decided to go away for Shabbos. Undamped Simcha

Rabbi Golombeck had a flood in his basement, which caused a lot of damage, so he filed an insurance claim. He hired a public adjuster to make sure the insurance company would give him the full amount of money he needed to make the repairs. After the insurance company told Rabbi Golombeck how much money they would be giving him, Rabbi Golombeck started to regret hiring a public adjuster. He thought that the insurance company would have given him the same amount even without the adjustor, and now he has to give the adjustor 10% of the claim. Then he realized it was just his Yetzer Hara! Instead of being happy and grateful to Hashem for all the money he would receive, and that it was enough money to cover the cost of the repairs, he was regretting his decision. The Yetzer Hara was just trying to dampen his simcha! Shortly after he realized this, he received a message from someone who had not used a public adjuster, and the insurance company only gave them half the cost of what he needed to fix his damaged house! Rabbi Golombeck saw clearly that Hashem was helping him regain his simcha by appreciating the fact that he had hired the adjustor!   Read more: It’s All Kavod
