A Life with Bitachon-A Game Changer

R’ Kaplan’s* wife always listened to the Bitachon hotline, and she always tried to convince him to listen. She kept telling him, “Listen, listen, listen, you’ll be a happier person and it will help you.” He never had time, and he always pushed it off. Two weeks ago, he said to himself, “One second. I really need to help myself. I want to be happy in life.” He started listening to the hotline and he said, “Wow. I never heard these concepts. It’s a game changer.” He said that a few weeks later, he already sees how he’s bringing it into his life. He gave an example. He went into a store, and he saw that somebody left his tefillin bag. He wasn’t familiar with this name. It was a bachur’s tefillin, and he didn’t know how he was going to return it to him. Then he said, “I’m having Bitachon. Within a couple minutes, either the one who lost it or somebody who knows him will come by and I’ll be able to return it to him.” A minute later, a father walked by with his son, and they saw him standing next to the tefillin. They asked him, “Whose tefillin is this?” The yungerman told them that he doesn’t know. They said, “We know this person, and if you want we can return it to him!” Just like that! Hashem orchestrated it! Read more: Bitachon #46

Hashem- The Ultimate Pull!

R’ Katz* was trying to get his child into a certain Mossad. People said, “There’s a waiting list out the door. You need a lot of pull to get in. It’s not practical. Even people with pull couldn’t get in.” R’ Katz said, “One second. If we have no pull, then let’s use Hashem’s pull.” They applied, and the school said that they would put them on the bottom of the list but that they shouldn’t even think it’s possible because there are 100 people before them. The next day, the school called them up and said, “Okay, come for an interview.” R’ Katz asked them, “Aren’t we the last on the list?” They said, “You’re right, we made a mistake. We looked at the bottom of the list instead of the top, but once we called you, we called you.” They got in!!! Amazing Hashgacha Pratis! [R’ Golombeck]   Read more: Hashem’s Endless Kindness!

Vacation on Hashem’s Tab!

One week, Mrs. Levine* wanted to take a break from Shabbos cooking and baking and setting up the table. She wanted a vacation; she wanted to go away. However, she couldn’t afford to go anywhere that cost money. She said to herself,  “I wish someone would invite my entire family for all the seudos. But I don’t have any family near me, and nobody has invited me in the past Yovel!” Then she said, “One second. Who puts it in people’s brains to invite me? It’s Hashem!” That night, she got a phone call from one of her friends, who said to her, “You know, “I’m in the mood to have some company over.” I haven’t had guests in such a long time. It’s probably too late to call you; you probably already made Shabbos. But is there any way you could come?” Her friend lived close by, and they were able to walk over for all the seudos! Just like that, she got a free vacation on Hashem’s tab! [R’ Golombeck] Read more: Hashem Gives Gift to Child

Dovid went shopping at a store. When he came to the cash register, he realized that he only had half the amount of money that he needed. So he asked the owner, “Do you want me to put stuff back? Hashem Loves Us!

Yeshiva Toras Chesed has a sprinkler system. Whenever something is smoking, it spritzes water from all directions. It puts out the fire right away. There was a fan that a bachur left on for a little too long and it was overheating. It made lots of smoke, triggering the sprinkler system and caused everything in the Yeshiva to get wet. They called the janitor to clean up the mess. The janitor said, “I see your G-d was watching you and protecting you.” He was cleaning the Otzar Sefarim and he saw that the sprinkler in the Otzar Haseforim did not work! If it would have, it would have drenched all the sefarim! It actually did spritz but it went straight to the floor and not to any sefarim!” Usually the sprinkler is supposed to spray on all the sides. The janitor saw that it was a nes! Instead of all the sefarim getting drenched, there was just a little puddle on the floor. Every other sprinkler spritzed from all directions and everything got wet! Hashem protected the sefarim and the tefillin! Nissim geluyim! [R’ Zevy Golombeck]   Read more: Parnasah is From Shamayim
